ah yes, 05-18...my favorite version of Hurts Me Too comes from this show, Europe 72 was so damn consistent...
05-23-1969, I just checked that one out, as good as any other version from that year...

The chatter at the beginning of that 5/23/69 Dew just strikes me as quasi-apocalyptic, somehow... :\
I am partial to the '69 Dews, as I love gongs/tam tams... and there's plenty of them in the MDs and DSs that year... :D
I also forgot to mention that I have a cool version of Morning Dew... by Lulu! :D

Well Styrofoam Cueball, it is a post-apocalyptic song based on one of my favorite 1950's-60's cold war era films, 'On the Beach' (a favorite along with 'Fail-Safe', The Manchurian Candidate', and 'Dr. Strangelove'). The made-for-tv remake with Armand Assante & Rachael Ward wasn't bad either.

I know "On The Beach" well.... Ava Gardner. Astaire, and "Waltzing Matilda"... :)
